On Bikes to Nubra Valley

Situated at the altitude of 10,000 ft. above sea level, and known as the flower valley is a magnificent place to visit.  Once it was a trading route between Tibet and Turkistan.  The valley though looks dry but is a very fertile land to grow barley, apples and apricots and farming is the prime profession of the natives of this area.  Most of the year this place and people are isolated due to heavy snowfall.  People here are very friendly.  Travelling on the highest motorable road at 18,380 ft. through Khardungla Pass reaches you to Nubra valley.  Two rivers Shyok and Nubra increase the beauty of the valley.  The valley has recently been opened to the tourists. The monasteries and ruins of palaces are worth seeing.

Since people of Nubra valley do not have much to offer as they keep sufficient only for themselves for winters, the tourists are advised to carry enough eatables and water.  One of the attractions are double hump camels you would really like to take a ride on.  Tourists are visiting Nubra valley from all over the world.  No one can stop the adventurers and beauty lovers from exploring the exotic place which is a part of proud India.
