Zanskar is situated across the Panzila axis 20 kms. south-east Rangdum. A remote ancient kingdom valley having elevation of 3,500m. with winter temperatures recorded -30 degree Celsius and still the coldest inhabited places in he world. Geographically covering an area of 5,000 sq. kms. of high mountain peaks and deep gorges remains cut-off for about 8 months in a year and rest of the 4 months is open for the tourists for trekking.
Zanskar valley is the least visited place due to dirt tracks and the distance. Tourists prefer to visit Zanskar by trekking.
